This season, Carnegie Hall opened its Arvo Pärt 90th anniversary celebrations with seven concerts dedicated to the composer’s work.

The opening night in the Stern Auditorium was sold out, and Estonian musicians were welcomed with standing ovations.

On stage:

– Estonian Festival Orchestra (Paavo Järvi)

– Eesti Filharmoonia Kammerkoor / Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (Tõnu Kaljuste)

– Tallinna Kammerorkester /Tallinn Chamber Orchestra

– Soloists Hans Christian Aavik, Midori, and Nico Muhly


And as a significant moment in Estonian music history — the performance used fully digital scores.Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir performed using 100% digital scores via Scoremusic.
